    hidden in the underground passage. Nobody interfered with this fort. Two of our parish priests, visited it in recent years. One of them Canon Begley, wrote a very interesting book about it. Numerous people visited this from different townlands.
    There is also another one, in the lands of Mr M Stokes of Callow. There is an earthen bank on three sides of it, and bareness on the other side. There is also a hedge of whitethorn bushes on the top of the bank. The Danes, lived there long ago. There is a story connected with this fort. It is about three black rabbits, which are always to be seen there. People made several attempts to kill them, but failed to do so, every time.
