  1. There are stories told in connection with strange animals in the townland of Nantenan. It is said that a black dog as huge as a donkey is seen very often on the top of the Pound Hill near Nantenan avenue. He was seen late at night by two people on their way home to White's where they were working. The people got afraid and they hurried home as quickly as they could.
    It is said that a certain man was cutting a tree and it fell on him
