  1. We play various games both in school and at home every day, out in fields or in the house, namely skipping, Gobbing, Four corner fool, High-gates, Fox and the mother, skating, Puicín, Frogging etc.
    High gates
    What a crowd of children all march one by one in one line passing in and out through the gates held up by the two biggest girls hands saying in chorus "High gates, open gates catch the last man you can". Then they call catch on at the back of the two girls and pull with the opposite side and the side that wins claps their hands and screech for joy.
