    St Ita was the patron saint of Kileedy.

    St. Ita was the patron saint of Kileedy. She was born in Waterford. She founded a church in Kileedy its ruins are to be today. She died in Kileedy on the 15th of January and there is a holiday celebrated in the parish in honour of her. There is High mass in Raheenagh every year on that day. There is a holy well there where people come from long distances to pay rounds as well
