hill - There is a hill called "Cnoc-na-gCarn" north of the townland which has high ground.
well - There is a well called "Tobar-na-n-Dinseach" because a foolish woman lived near it long ago.
forts - There are two forts in Farrihy. There is a good view of Broadford from Broadford.

“Boola is the name of my townland which means a place where cows were driven to be milked.”
Boola is the name of my townland, which means a place where cows were driven in to be milked.
There are twelve families in it, but long ago, it was more populated than it is at present.
Long ago, it was mostly all huts the people had and from time to time these fell and cottages were put in their stead. The rest are farmers houses they are nice(continues on next page) - Collector
