    Dan O'Connor,
    Lower Athea,
    Co. Limk.
The "Fe" - A marshy low-lying place where turf was cut, about one hundred years ago.
The "Fiddlers Hole" - It is a very deep hole in the river Galey. It is about twenty yards down from the main road. At one time three fiddlers were going from their homes to a dance in Kilbaha, which is a townland in Co. Kerry, and they had to cross the river, and they god drowned. Ever since that time, that part of the river is known as the "Fiddlers Hole".
    Peig Ni Conchubhair,
    Cnoc Ban.
