  1. THE KILN FIELD:-
    There is a kiln there but it was not used for the past fifty years.

    BEÁRNA na TÁRLA:-
    "The gap of the Happening" - This gap is in one of our fields at home and it is so called because it is said that at the time of the Elizabethan Wars in Ireland a number of Catholics were hiding on Knock Athea Hill and a traitor told on them and there was a great fight on the hill between the two parties and there was a great number of Catholics killed and it is said that the people who were killed used to appear at "Beárna na Tárla"
