- The Farm animals are:- horses, sheep, cattle, pigs, donkeys, and goats. The cows have got names. Their names are Wildy, Rosy, and Straight horns. When I am driving cows in or out of a field I say "How, How".
The cows are stalled in cowhouses. Cross cows are generally tied by the legs when milking. This is called spancelling. Nowadays the spancel is made of a piece of rope.
The spancel, was formerly made of horse hair, plaited together, with a pointed stick, at one end(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
