the window and they ate near the window.
It was about seventy-five years ago that tea was brought into this country. The first time tea came to Farrahy a Protestant farmer asked his servant to come in to his dinner. He went in and saw the steam out of the tea. He thought it was boiling milk. When he had a few potatoes ate he went for the milk as he thought.
He caught the cup in his hand and drank the contents. Then he found his mistake. He then supposed it was meat soup he had taken. He was in a frightful state because it was a day of abstinance. He said nothing. He went out and told his fellow workers what he had done. They laughed at him and said it was tea so he had not broken the abstinence.
