  2. There was a great snow-storm in the year 1892.- It lay ten feet deep on the ground. Sheep were smothered and people had to clear the ground to leave out their cattle. It stayed six weeks on the ground.
    There was a great flood in the year 1924 It carried a house and three children, and two foot-bridges at Loobridge. There was another great rain and wind storm. It knocked the roofs off houses and knocked ricks of hay and straw and people could not go outside their doors. This happened about sixty years ago
