    So called, because it is hollow at the two sides and raised to aheight in the middle.
    The Green-point-field:
    So called, because it is shaped like a gun.
    The Cradle Field.
    So called, because it is shaped like a cradle.
    The Ringing Field.
    So called, because it was there the horses were trained.
    The Both-Cárthaig.
    Near Town, there is a hill called the Both-Cárthaig, because Saint Cárthaig, who came from Kerry, lived for five years in a little mud house, on top of this hill. He left the hill, and travelled by the bank of the River Blackwater to Lismore, where he founded a Monastery.
