It lasted for two or three days. It took slates off houses, and knocked trees.
It was accompanied by rain, and fields and rivers were flooded with water.
About the year 1887 there was a very dry Summer. People had great inconvenience to get water because some of the wells had gone dry. They had long distances to draw water for themselves and their cows.
