  1. Their was a bootmaker who lived in a remote district. He got short of wax and hemp. The nearest town to him was four miles and that was Macroom. He started his journey. After he had bought the wax and hemp, he took a near way across the country. On his way a hare came running towards him. The hare stopped and looked in amazement, and looked and the bootmaker stopped and looked at the hare. The bootmaker looked around to find something to throw at it. He could not get anything So instead he threw the ball of wax at it. It hit the hare in the forehead, and it clung to it. When he hit the hare it turned about, and ran back the path. Another hare came running from the opposite direction and the two bumped their heads together and they got clung. The bootmaker was very sorry for the loss of ball of. On his way
