The skylark builds his nest in a marshy place and it is seldom he flies into the bushes. She lays from three to four eggs and while they are being hatched she scarcely leaves the nest.
The cuckoo does not build her own nest, she goes away and lays her eggs in another nest. - The thrush, blackbird, finch, chaffinch, wren, robin, jackdaw, swallow and the linnet are the birds most commonly seen in my district. The swallows come in(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
