    There are several cures in this locality for Warts. This is a very common cure, to put your fasting spittle on ten consecutive mornings or rub a snail on it and stick it up on a white - thorn tree and when the snail decays. For Biles a very old cure was to boil Dandeline roots and drink the substance obtained after boiling. There is a well in Kilgorey and if you drink some of the water and leave a ribbon on the tree and bless yourself you will get rid of your disease. If you had a sty on your eye and prick it three times with a gooseberry thorn it is supposed to cure it.
