  1. Tradition tells us that there was a church in Ballygouden. A man one time brought a stone from this church to put it in a building. Every time it was put in the building it would be down the next morning. So he brought it out to the side of the road and left it there. After some years a man removed it up to the Four Roads of Cuffsborough cross and it has been there for many years.
