- Margaret Mordaunt was married to my Grannie's uncle. Her father and her brother Ralph were painting the interior of the church one time. They were up on a scaffold doing the gothic arch over the sanctuary when the light went out. At that time there were no matches to be had. A light had to be got by rubbing flint against steel. The father left Ralph and went out to get a light.
