  1. When there are mackerel clouds in the sky it is the sign of rain.
    If you see a star shooting towards any of the four points it is a sign that the wind will be blowing from that point next day.
    When there is a circle round the moon it is a sign of a storm.
    When you see the wild geese going North it is a sign of a storm, and when they go towards the South it is a sign of rain. If they go towards the East it is a sign of soft weather and when they go towards the West it is a sign of hard weather.
    If you hear the curlew or the seagull bawling it is the sign of rain.
    When Tory Hill is capped it is a sign of rain.
    When there is a fog in Mullinakill
