  2. A rath is a place where the fairies are supposed to live. There are a good many raths around. There is one in Listerlin in a field belonging to John Maddock. It is a big round bank with a stone gap in the side of it and there are whins growing on it. No one ever is said to have touched it.
    There is another rath in Mullinakill
