- The most harmful weeds on the farm are the dog roses - they would grow anywhere. Thistles would not grow on poor land but they are sure to grow on rich land.
There is another weed called sore-eyes and if you touched it you would get sore eyes. Nettles are used for food for turkeys when they are about two months old.
There is a certain weed growing in the ditch called spear-point which is used to draw and heal sores. Put the leaf down on the sore and put a rag around it then and it is sure to cure it. - If dock leaves grow on good land, it(continues on next page)
