- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)They get a board and put a hole in it and pull the net out through it so that too much tar would not stick on to it. Then they hand the net between two trees or poles to dry. When it is dry they attach two ropes to it, one on top and one on the bottom of it. To the top one they attach forty corks with one on each half yard and to the bottom rope about forty stones each about one pound in weight, because leads would be too light. They used buy the corks in Kenmare for about two pence each. The length of the net is about sixty feet long and three and a half wide.
