A short time ago a man in Castlemarket had a dream. He dreamt about a crock of gold in his own land when he awoke to his mistake he had nothing. So the next night he told the ramblers about the dream and they said they would go dig for it. On they set. Tommie Bergin took a Blessed Candle and a bottle of holy water. They started to dig and kept spreading the holy water. So when they were down in the ground a bit, one of them said they were on the crock. When this was said three heavy stones went into the river and out from under a tree came a man all dressed in white with tow brass gallons on each arm. All flew and left shovels behind. Some tore all their clothes in thorny wire, some nearly got lost in screams and when they stood on the road they could hear the horse galloping still, and they went home and were not to be seen out for a month or so afterwards.
