  1. About fifty years ago there was a school in the townland of Greaghrafarna, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim. It was on the land of Owen Kelly. It was a one-roomed house; the walls of which were made of sods. My uncle's father went to school there.
    The teacher's name was Master Quinn and he came to that district from Sooey. The pupils gae him money every month. The master taught English and Arithmetic and the pupils did some writing on slates.
