  1. There was butter found in Mulligan's bog in the townland of Drumnasooey, Riverstown, Co. Sligo. There was about six pounds of butter in an oak box. There was writing cut on the side of the box but nobody could read the writing. The butter was very hard, but it was sound.
    The Mulligan's kept the butter and melted it and in the middle of the butter they found a gold coin.
