Matches are still made in the district. Money is usually given as a dowry, the amount depending on the means of the Groom. Stock and Goods are rarely given, sometimes portion of the farm is given.

A married woman was supposed to accompany the Bride to the Church in order to have luck. The Bride was supposed to wear something borrowed, something blue, something old & something new.
