- My home district is Carnacreevy in the parish of Dromard and in the Barony of Tireragh. There are about eighteen families in our townland and there are about sixty nine people in it. The family name most common is Mc Munns. The houses are thatched and slated. A lot of people went from here to America. There is a holy well in it. It was founded by St Patrick when he visited Dromard. The land is very good and there is no bad land in it. There is alot of it tilled in oats, wheat, potatoes and other crops. There are alot of trees in Carrowgarry wood. Those are very big and there are a lot of trees in them such as ash, oak elm, beech and sycamore. Long ago there were alot more houses in it but now they are in ruins.
