  1. Drowning: -
    Down in Carrueragh in the middle of a wild mountain called Moinvianlach there is a large hole known as the "Piper's Hole". It is commonly believed that about a century ago, a piper was drowned there as he was coming home to Carrueragh from Listowel. The noise of the waters beside the hole resemble the music of the pipes. The place around it is the most desolate spot in the mountain.
