Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Lough Columbcille is situated between hills about a mile outside Milford. It covers an area of 17 acres. The lough is named after St. Columcille who spent a lot of his time there. There still remains the stone chair and the stone bed where he rested. On one of the rocks there is the trace of a fish and Columbcille's hand. Columbcille said that no fisherman would catch more than two fish in one day until a church would be built in Milford. Milford gets its water supply from Lough Columbcille. There is a small island in the lough. The lough is famous for the large trout that are in it.
