- In my spare time I used to make cloth dolls. I also made houses out of cardboard and make furniture to put in them.
I also make lights in these house out of a flash lamp battery which looked like electric light.
Girls mostly string daisy chains and make dolls.
Boys make top out of spools, guns out of elder branches, and catapults out of a forked stick and elastic or rubber.
Boys also amuse themselves by making snares for catching rabbits and hares.
Children make dolls to play with and dress them with different clothes which they make for them.
Some children amuse themselves by making birds and different other things out of fir cones.
When my mother was young she used to make cloth dolls, and balls out of paper rolled with cord.
My father used to make whistles out of chestnuts, watch chains out of horse hairs, commons out of big sticks and tops out of spools.
