- There is one road leading from the mail car road to Ballycarroon. It was made during the famine period. It was planked in the bottom with sticks and then stones and then sand put over them. There is a bridge on it now and a river running under it now. It isused by a great number of people. About three months ago it was repaired with sand and stones. There was Gaffer and a gang of men repairing it.
The mail car road is another road that was made during the famine period.
