    In the same way the wool taken from the sheep's back when dried was teased, carded and spun into thread by spinning wheels. Then the thread was taken to the local weaver and made into blankets, friezes, flannel, etc.
    In every house there was a spinning wheel and all the women and girls long ago were able to spin. All the coats worn by the people were of home manufacture. The white flannel was made into white coats or báneens and the frieze into
