  1. Half a century ago a very sad accident happened at the northern side of this parish. A girl named Margaret Slattery was in service with Dan Collins.
    One morning very early about three o'clock she arose from her bed and dressed herself in her best clothes.
    She went to the strand and she got drowned. Some people said she was in a nightmare, and others said she was insane.
