  1. This is a trade they had long ago making (???) and this is the way they used to do it. To put the rushes and flatten them with a stick and then leave them up until they dry. Then they plat them into whatever they want.
    This is the way to make rush candles, to melt tallow and dip the rush into it. Then it is ready for use.
    Scrat cloc(?) is a dye we get from the stones and this is the way to use it. To boil it first then to put whatever wants to be coloured into it and leave it there
