    An Gabha agus an Cheardcha.
    One forge in parish owned by John Liston.His father who originally came from borders of Limerick and Kerry(He had been in Braodford Co.Clare for a short time)owned the forge previous to his son.His brother,who worked for a short time in Meelick forge and later in Limerick city ,was also a smith.The forge is on old Ennis Road (running from Hassett's Cross )at bridge over Crompán separating Clare from Limerick.
    Slated roof.Ordinary door (rectanglar.)One hearth .Bellows -ordinary large leather bellows, bought in Limerick.
    Tools-Sledge,hammer,pincers,tongs,knife,rasp, vice,punch,clift (to cut iron)pritchil (for putting holes in shoes.)
