A hundred years ago or so children did not wear boots till
they were 15 or 16 years of age.Men in general wore them more than women.This would be due to the fact that they had to work.At present boys go barefooted for most of the summer.Some in times not so long past(in living memory)wore boots only when going to mass,to town.
Foot water-not right to throw it out when anyone belonging to the house is out.But it should always be thrown out at night and to the right of the door when last person comes in.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
