  1. When we go out to the front of the school we may not fail to see many historic spots.
    1 Across the river we can plainly see the famous Carriglea O Gonnell which stands on the top of a hill.
    Some of the people call it , the rock of O Connell others call it the rock of the candle.
    The reason they call it the rock of O Connell is a man named O ‘Connell one time owned around that sdistrict. The reason it called the rock of the candle is there was a witch and she used light a candle, each sailor who saw that candle, believed they would never see Limerick again, or in other words they would be drowned .
