    bread that was made long ago,only bread with out soda.On a griddle they baked the bread long ago.That bread is not made now.When they had visitors they had special bread.I do not know what they called the stand under the griddle .Dough is made of the flour ,then the cake is kneaded and flattened out and put down to bake.
