Here is a story collected by Alice Crawley, Lisnaclay:-
There was once an old doctor attending a patient. The doctor got sick, and he sent another young man in his place who knew nothing about doctoring. The first day that he went to attend the patient he saw the banana skins under the bed. "My man" he said, you have eaten a feed of bananas, this did you harm. You are never to eat them again. Of course the people thought that he was a great doctor when he knew that the patient had eaten bananas. When the doctor went home the old doctor asked him how was the patient getting one. He said he was getting alright, only that he ate a feed of bananas. the next day that he went back, he saw a saddle under the bed.
