  1. The following is a story collected by Mary McConnon, Lisnakeeney, Magheracloone from her father.
    there was a woman and she had a son named Sean. This day she told Sean that he would have to sell the cow and to be sure and get the highest penny in the market.
    next morning he got up early and went to the market with the cow. On the way he met a man who asked him how much did he want for the cow? Sean replied I want the highest penny in the market. The man got a pole and put a penny on it. Now, said he, there is the highest penny in the market. Is'nt it? It is, answered Sean. He took the penny and gave the cow. When Sean was about to return home, he called him back and said, when you were so honest here are three
