  1. On Christmas Eve a well known local, who had enjoyed himself well if not wisely during the day was making a desperate effort to reach home. Another similarly engaged individual emerged suddenly from a public house and banged into him. This caused him to loose his balance but not his speech. He shouted after him "May bad luck to you down, do you think that there is anyone drunk but yourself
