  1. About eighty years ago in the days of landlordism there was a great battle fought at O'Donnells of Killurney for posession of their farm. All the neighbouring men gathered with sticks and guns to save the owners from eviction. The opposing army came from Ballingarry. From morning to evening they fought. The Ballingarr army brought ploughs and horses to plough, up the land should they have proved sucessful. They were
