    and crosses the river dividing the parishes of Kill and Laragh and continued as far as John King's cross of Tievenanass where it meets the ring road.
    The ring road branches off the Cootehill Ballyjamesduff road at Tievenanass Post Office cross and runs westward across Tievenanass hill and turns northwards at John King's cross of Tievenanass and continues northward to Tullyvin village where it terminates.
    Long ago a land lord named Boyle who lived in Tullyvin and whose territory extended from Tullyvin to Tievenanass used to come up as far as James Reilly's of Ratrussan.
    Here the road widened out into the shape of a ring so that the land lord could turn his coach without difficulty.
    The road gets its name from this fact.
