    rickallen gets its name.
    Carrickallen is one of the most progressive townlands in the parish of Laragh.
    In this townland we have a Co-operative Dairy Society, Co-operative Agricultural Society, two shops and a Garage.
    The Catholic Church, National school and I.N.F. hall are also in this townland.
    There are living in Carrickallen seven people who are over seventy years.
    The following are their names.
