    "Old Mullagh hill and its craggy brays,
    Its clothed with fern and fir,
    It looks as young as in olden days
    But never seems to stir.
    It's all the same for a thousand years.
    The lake looks calm and mild.
    Whilst steering up by the old mill-stream,
    It murmurs on by the silent dead,
