When the sun "goes down" red it signifies a good day on the following day, and when there is a mist on a mountain it signifies rain. Shadows in the lake in the evenings is a sign of rain and a blue blaze is a sign of rain and storm.
When the swallows fly high good weather is expected. Crickets chirrping and clocks creeping on the road is a sign of rain.
