    In every district certain days and dates are looked upon as being lucky and unlucky.
    Some people say that Saturday is an unlucky day to change to a new house as the old saying is "Saturdays flitten makes a short sitting." This day is also looked upon as being an unlucky day to begin ploughing and any day during the week is considered lucky. Easter week is a lucky time to plant oats
