    she consents to have the man, arrangements are made for the weeding. A dowry of money is usually given with the bride. Sometimes a cow, calf or pig is promised. The lady nearly always brings to her new home some furniture from parent's home. This is called "flitting." If the wedding day is bright and sunny all are pleased "Happy" is the bride the sun shine on." The bride for luck likes to wear "Something borrowed. Something blue. Something old and Something new." When the bride comes out of the Church, she is greeted with a shower of rice or confetti, and an old shoe is sometimes thrown after her so that she have good luck.
