    on top of the milk in lumps and the milk appears bluish. My mother puts the butter into a wooden dish, washes it with cold water, several times, to get all the milk out of it, then she puts in salt and mixes it perfectly and last of all she makes it into rolls, and then it is ready for use. We use the buttermilk for mixing bread, and give some of it to the calves.
