  1. In February 1902 there was a great wind storm which did a lot of damage in the country. Trees were torn up out of the roots, and turned over in the streets and roads, houses were knocked down and chimneys were knocked off the houses. The next morning the streets and roads were blocked. For weeks and weeks some of the roads were blocked. The houses that were near the river or that the water could get in under the doors were swamped. Some, but not many people were killed in that storm.
