  1. Long ago a ghost used to appear over in Ballyedmond and it used to frighten everybody round that place. A priest in Hacketstown came and lay the ghost, but he was so overcome that he died in a few days after, the priests name was Fr Blanchfield. Fr Blanchfield was buried in Knockanna (Knockananna).
